Hello! Fresh off the energy of WordCamp Europe in Turin (and fueled by some amazing pasta!), we’re back and ready to dive into another newsletter.
This June, we kicked off our series on Drupal to WordPress migration. For those considering a move from Drupal to WordPress, our pre-migration checklist is live now. The secret to a smooth WordPress migration project is meticulous planning, before the actual migration begins. Our comprehensive checklist outlines all the steps, from defining business goals, evaluating the existing Drupal setup, to conserving your SEO data. With our checklist in hand, you’ll be perfectly positioned to mitigate any risks, and successfully migrate to WordPress!
Talking of successful migrations, we recently helped Everyday Carry move from their custom CMS to WordPress. The switch instantly unlocked blazing fast content creation, empowered the editors with a user-friendly interface and access to modern publishing tools. This, combined with an optimized SEO structure and a clean codebase, positions Everyday Carry perfectly for future growth – all while managing over 8,000 posts!
At rtCamp, we regularly give back to the open-source community by creating tools that make developers’ lives easier. Our colleague, Edi Amin recently released the CSS Class Manager plugin for WordPress. The plugin replaces the Additional CSS Classes control with an autocomplete dropdown, significantly helping developers working with block-based themes.
LocalWP Site Shell Launcher by Nani Samireddy is another one, streamlining the development process by allowing developers to access site shells directly within their VSCode editor.
